Step 1: One-month steward placement
Selected applicants first join us for one month. During this period, you will contribute to the farm’s activities, work alongside the team, and demonstrate your practical skills, reliability, and ability to work within the community.
At the end of the month, you will receive an evaluation from the Scave team.
We only accept a limited number of steward volunteers at the same time so that every participant can receive meaningful guidance and practical experience.
Step 2: Selection for the one-year internship
After the one-month placement, we will evaluate whether you are ready to continue into the one-year steward internship.
Selection is not automatic. It will depend on your contribution, practical abilities, commitment, teamwork, and alignment with the farm’s principles.

Step 3: Develop your land plan
After successfully completing the one-year internship, you will have the opportunity to write a development plan for a designated piece of land.
The plan must incorporate syntropic principles and demonstrate how the land could be managed regeneratively. By this stage, you will have gained the practical experience and contextual understanding needed to create a realistic and well-informed proposal.
